Thanks to custom statuses (in addition to the predefined “Available” and “Away” statuses), users can more clearly communicate their availability to colleagues, optimizing conversation assignment and collaboration.
How to create a custom status
To create a custom status, you must have an account with access to settings.
Select Settings > Custom Status > and click the Create a custom status button. Enter a name for your custom status (e.g., “In a meeting”, “On lunch break”, “Out of office”), choose an emoji, and save the changes.
How to set a custom status
Once created, statuses will be visible and selectable for all users.
- 1. Click on the avatar icon, located at the bottom left of the dashboard.
- 2. Select “Update your status”.
- 3. Choose one of the previously created custom statuses.
- 4. The new status will be visible to other team members.
Where is the status displayed?
When a user sets a custom status, other team members will see it in the following places:
- 1. In the “Assign Conversation” section in the top menu of the chat module.
- 2. Above the user’s profile picture.
