WhatsApp calls through the Business API are billed per minute, with costs varying depending on the direction of the call (inbound or outbound) and the country of the customer's phone number.
Inbound calls
Calls initiated by the customer to your business are billed at a flat rate of $0.01 USD per minute, regardless of the customer's country. This equals $1.00 USD per 100 minutes of inbound call time.
Outbound calls
Calls initiated by your business to a customer are billed per minute based on the customer's country and your total monthly call volume, as shown in the table at the end of this article.
Note: In case you send a template message to request call permission, the template will be charged separately as a message cost (see here).
What does my Callbell plan include?
Your Callbell plan includes a shared wallet that covers both messaging and calling costs combined. The included budget is up to €50 (or $54) per month for every 10 active agents. Call costs are deducted from the same wallet as message costs, so the total usage across both is what determines whether you stay within the included budget or incur additional charges.
If the combined cost of messages and calls during a calendar month exceeds the included budget, the difference will be charged at the beginning of the following month. Invoices for excess usage will be available in the Billing section of your Callbell account.

The cost per minute for outbound calls depends on the country of the customer's phone number and the total number of minutes used during the month.
