Default Access Roles
By default, Callbell provides 4 predefined roles:
1. Admin
- Has the same access as the account owner.
- Can access account settings.
- Can view and manage all chats within the teams they are included in.
2. Chat Agent
- Cannot access settings.
- Can view all chats within the teams they are included in.
3. Restricted Chat Agent
- Cannot access settings.
- Can only view the chats assigned to them.
4. Settings Chat Agent
- Has access to settings.
- Can only view their assigned chats.
- Note: We do not recommend using this role, as a user with settings access can grant themselves access to all chats.
Custom Access Roles
Customers on the Plus plan can create custom roles and define specific permissions for users who are not admins. These roles can be customized to grant access to the following pages:
- Analytics
- Bot
- Broadcast
- Contacts
How to Create and Assign Custom Roles
1. Create a new role:
- Navigate to Access Roles.
- Define the permissions for the new role.
2. Assign the role to agents:
- Go to the Teammates & Permissions page.
- Select the agents and assign them the appropriate role.
