Automations let agents trigger chatbot flows directly inside a chat conversation. Instead of waiting for the customer to respond or manually sending follow-ups, agents can launch pre-built sequences of actions with a single click.
What are Automations?
Automations are chatbot flows that agents can manually start during a chat. They’re useful when you want to:
- Send automatic follow-ups: If the customer doesn’t reply after a set period of time, the automation can send a reminder message.
- Deliver a sequence of content: Share multiple messages, attachments, or instructions in a row without copy-pasting each one.
- Send satisfaction surveys: Automatically trigger a survey at the end of a conversation to collect customer feedback.
- Run webhook actions: Push events or data to other software tools for reporting, integrations, or workflow automations.

How to Create an Automation
- Go to the Automations page.
- Create a New Automation Choose the trigger

How to Trigger an Automation in Chat
Once you’ve created at least one automation, agents can trigger it inside the chat module:
- Click the flow button in the conversation toolbar.
- Or type /auto + space directly in the chat input box.
This instantly launches the selected automation in the ongoing conversation.
