Message templates are predetermined messages that can be used to send a message on WhatsApp to a customer who has not contacted your company before or who has not responded to an existing chat for at least 24 hours.
Once the contact writes the first message to your company, you can reply with all the necessary messages during the first 24 hours (these are defined as session messages).
After 24 hours since the customer's last message (or if the customer has never contacted your company before), you must use a message template that must be pre-approved by WhatsApp (defined as template messages).
Once the number is approved by WhatsApp, our support will contact you to choose the message templates that you may need and request the approval from WhatsApp.
Notes: Templates must always contain a variable; in our case, we recommend that the variable be the agent name which can be configured from "My Profile". At the same time, you can choose to use the variable (the variable has no word limit) to enter any other information needed to communicate with your customers.
Important: WhatsApp typically approves very simple templates like this: Hi {{1}}, thank you. This means that in general you can use this template to write to customers with maximum freedom.
