To integrate Facebook Messenger with the chat plugin, you will need to login with the Facebook owner/admin account of the page you want to link to your Callbell account. For this reason, if your account is not linked to any Facebook page, you will not be able to activate Messenger in your widget.
If you are an administrator/manager of one or more pages, you can choose which page to link to the widget from your dashboard. During this phase, Facebook will ask you to authorize Callbell to manage your pages and messages; in order for the widget to work properly, you’ll need to make sure you provide authorisation for both.
N.B .: to ensure that the widget is shown correctly, it is mandatory to provide under the Whitelist Domains section, the domains on which the chat widget will be installed. For example, if the script of your widget will be installed on “callbell.eu”, we will have to enter in this section the domain to be authorized.
Tip: go to your website and copy the url from the top bar of your browser so as to be sure to enter the correct format of your URL. Ex: https://www.callbell.eu.
Integrating Messanger to your Callbell widget will allow desktop users to chat in real time without leaving your website, while if clicked from mobile it will automatically open the Messenger app, opening a chat with your page.
